Print Quality eXchange and the Print Score Card

   Sunday, March 13

   Noon – 1:30 p.m.

   Texas Ballroom

About This Session

As flexographic printers, we strive to deliver high-quality, consistent print that meets the color and execution expectations of brand owners. Many tools have been introduced throughout the flexographic print supply chain that make achieving these goals much easier by setting clear targets and giving immediate feedback on how to address shortcomings. However, consistent communication between brand owners, printers and suppliers is missing.

Join Kevin and Rory as they assemble a team of experts to dive into how brand owners can specify how they will score their expectations using Print Requirements eXchange (PRX) and how multiple software systems can report the successful execution of these expectations using Print Quality eXchange (PQX).

Presenters will address the requirements of the PQX standard and discuss real-world applications and press-side implementations by a software specialist of PQX. Plus, see how to integrate PQX into a print quality management program that services global brand owners with a packaging printer.

PQX and the Voice of the Brand

Robb Frimming, Print Services Director at SGK

Presentation Details
Looking for a method to leverage your current press-side color ingestion tools and to satisfy your customer requests to upload data to a Print Quality Management scorecard system?
Many standards have been developed and implemented to share data across all print technologies including flexography, but they do not address open, cross-platform communication for the packaging industry. Consumer Product Companies and retailers are aiming for an approach to promote and implement ISO 20616-2:2020 (PQX), an overarching strategy with a single point of measurement that addresses all print technologies. This will allow printers to communicate print quality data with various brand scorecard servers, leveraging their current technology investments.
Join Robb to see where the industry stands with implementation of the recent ISO 20616-2:2020 standard for Print Quality eXchange (PQX).
Speaker Bio
About Robb: Robb is the print services director for SGK, leading a team of print service specialists in North America, and works as a global leader for print quality management.
