FORUM 2023 headshot Jeff Randazzo

Jeff Randazzo

President at Controlled Displacement Technologies LLC

Panelist Bio
About Jeff: In the early 1990s, Jeff was approached by one of his customers who asked him to make color separations for the flexographic packaging industry. Jeff became the first to successfully produce color separations that matched prepress proofs using photopolymer plate technology.
Jeff quickly realized the process needed industry-wide specifications to provide the necessary process stability. He was told “that is an impossible objective.” Jeff was resolute; the results of his vision and commitment are known as Flexographic Image Reproduction Specifications & Tolerances (FIRST), which debuted in 1997.
Jeff realized one of the largest challenges was to eliminate the variables inherit in cellular foam cushioning. He invented displacement cushioning technology, but he also had to invent two new manufacturing processes. Jeff has been granted four patents with additional patents pending.
