About This Session

This packaging print technology is widely regarded as the most dominant in the world. “What is flexography?”

Join us for an interactive and engaging session modeled after the popular game show Jeopardy! Contestants will be quizzed on flexographic concepts, specifications, trivia and more. Audience members will play along to see if their knowledge is in tolerance.

About Mark: Mark received a B.S. in chemistry from the State University of New York at Albany in 1978, a Ph.D. in physical organic chemistry from Yale University in 1982 and an M.B.A. from Rutgers University in 1987.
Mark worked for DuPont for 32 years, retiring Feb. 2, 2015. During his career at DuPont he had a variety of assignments, including; product management, proofing, electroless plating, solid modeling and business analysis. Mark is a frequent speaker at industry events. He is currently chair of the FIRST Committee. In 2002 he received the FTA President’s award, was co-chair of FORUM 2008 in Dallas and was the 2009 FTA Hall of Fame Inductee.

About Lon: Lon is the VP of manufacturing at Tension Corp, based in Kansas City, MO. Lon has been with the Tension organization for over 45 years, holding positions in printing, folding, ink, prepress, product development and engineering.
Lon has served as chair of the Board of Directors for the FTA, the FTA FIRST Committee, the FTA Excellence in Flexography Awards Committee, and earned the FTA President’s Award in 2012. Lon was inducted as the 56th member of the FTA Hall of Fame at FORUM 2018. Lon is a member of the EMA Board of Directors, the Chairman of the EMA Postal Affairs Committee, represents the EMA with the USPS Postmaster General’s Mailer’s Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC), and participates on the EMA print committee.
